Creating Conclusions From First Impressions

Halo effect: we jump into conclusions with the first impressions of something.

So much so that anything beyond that is information wasted.

To derive information from many sources, make them independent of each other.

E.g. The first books you read in a topic are going to become the foundation from which you evaluate from.
